What Is Kodomo Music & Art Festival?
Concept
Kodomo Music & Art Festival is a kids-hosted open air festival filled with music and art! Kids go out of schools/facilities to meet friends beyond nationality, age, gender and physical characteristics. Through their challenge against bias & discrimination, you will encounter the moment for social welfare industry to bring down its barrier.
Live Painting
Children (“Kids staff”) appear on stage as live-painters at the festival with the musicians. Kids staff –who gathers from elementary/international schools, special-needs schools and facilities for the physically-challenged-- have gone through workshops that took place prior to the festival in order to practice live-painting. It is a great chance for the kids to deepen appreciation for music and art, as well as to meet friends beyond differences.
Space Decoration
DECORATION ORNAMENTS are made by hospitalized children and those who live in distant areas, who may not be able to come to the festival. Our staff members have visited hospitals and other facilities to hold workshops.
Canvas
CLOTH BAGS will be the painting canvas for the kids on stage. We donate the painted bags to the kids around the world, and to the kids staff.
